History and Upbringing: Teddy was raised by his grandmother, Andromeda Tonks, and thus has a healthy sense of pride in his parents, the war that they died in, and what they died for. He's also well-aware of the Pureblood side of his lineage, as Andromeda has taken it upon herself to educate him in the Black side of things, member of the family tree or not.

However, this has really only influenced Teddy in that he's now training to become an Auror; he doesn't really spend much time thinking about his parents, especially now that he's thankfully past the awkward questioning stage of adolescence. However, he often thinks about the cause that his parents (and Harry, Ron, and Hermione) fought for, and sometimes finds himself wishing for something similar, much to his chagrin.

Teddy did well enough in school--well enough to get into the Auror program--but wasn't extraordinarily interested in it, with the exception of Herbology and Charms. He wasn't particularly liked or disliked by his classmates, as his initial quiet personality didn't offer much to his fellow students, though his bright blue hair did.


Current State of Mind: Teddy currently has a lot on his plate--he's completely blown away by his last year of Auror training, which was harder than anything he's previously experienced or anticipated, as both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley completely overhauled the system after passing it; he's just broken up with his long-term girlfriend, Victoire Weasley, in an attempt to--her words, not his-- "take some time off to redefine their relationship"; and he's slowly starting to notice the growing unrest in the Ministry due to genetic manipulation, and has started to mull over his decision when it comes to his ethics versus his government.

Role In the Plot: Teddy's kind of the go-between generation of the old and young, and I'll probably take advantage of it; he's old enough that the adults will probably pay more attention to him than the average student, and he's young enough to still have a link with the Hogwarts students that most of the older members of the Ministry don't have. Also, he's an almost-qualified Auror, which means, among other things, that he's a sneaky bastard, and therefore good at espionage stuff--infiltrating the Ministry for the win!
